Sad/strange

Thu May 8, 2008, 6:45 PM
It is a sad thing in my opinion, that I have no one to explain my poems to anymore. This information is is at most a little sad for others, for I am only one person. Yet I think it very important.

I think we all believe in our own inert importance, and that it is somehow larger than anyone elses. This I think is strange, although inevitable, for how can anyone truely understand another's existence? We try, try, try to meld our beings as if they could mish-mash and one would say, "That's it! You! I understand!".

I apoligise if this makes little sense. It is after all just my mind. You could not possibly completely understand me in this moment. Which is both strange and very sad.

I do actually feel as though I have a grasp on what you're saying. I've given the whole "self importance" thing a lot of thought.

The theory that makes the most sense to me, as of yet, is extremely egotistical, which is interesting as I don't find importance in myself.

i think mainly what i meant was no one can look through your eyes. true empathy is very impossible. i too, struggle with lack of faith in oneself.

Understood, now.

I do have more empathy than I'd like to have, but I don't think it's possible to completely see something the way someone else does, no matter how close you can get. A friend of mine claims to literally feel everything that the people around her feel. She calls it 'empathy', actually.
:iconiamthemockturtle:
like a belief in auras you mean?
:iconpatchedjacket:
hm.

You make me wonder.

I will ponder these thoughts.

I'm not entirely sure. To be honest, I'm not sure how much I believe her.
:iconsospokexmisery:
She gives me no reason to, haha.
